Private Yoga in Breckenridge, Colorado

At the Be Your Own Guru Wellness Center (located on Main Street in Breckenridge, CO), we offer individualized yoga sessions at your pace, and on your schedule.

Yoga to us is everything from the physical practice, to the breathwork, to the meditation, to the subtle awareness exercises. We are passionate about helping people to develop a personal routine that works for them.

Come alone or come with a crew. Our pricing includes up to 4 people in your session. Additional participants may be added for an additional fee.

Whether you’re here on vacation and want to book a strech sesh for every day after the slopes, or you’re a local and want to put together a long term program – we have options. Reach out to discuss package pricing.

We are trained in a wide range of yoga styles (yin, hatha, vinyasa, restorative, kundalini, tantric, nidra) and maintain a strong focus on alignment and balance. 

Your private yoga session may be scheduled here in our Breckenridge studio, virtually, or at your home/hotel anywhere in Summit County (travel fee applies).

The first thing your practitioner will ask you in your private yoga appointment is: “what are you hoping to get out of this session?”

Perhaps you’re simply looking for a single opportunity to settle into your body, slow your mind, and connect with your spirit. Perhaps you’re seeking a few simple practices that you can take home with you to incorporate into your daily/weekly routine. Perhaps you’re looking for some support and accountability in putting together a larger program to support a transitional phase in your life.

Whatever it is that you’re looking for, we’d like to help.

Your private session will draw from a variety of yoga styles (vinyasa, hatha, yin, restorative, kundalini, etc) and will include a variety of techniques (movement, poses, meditation, breathwork, mantra, off-the-mat lifestyle tools, etc).

If you don’t know what any of those words mean, have no fear, you don’t need to. Essentially I am saying that we are well qualified and well trained in a diverse assortment of methods, allowing us to customize your session specifically to you.

(Please know that there is absolutely no experience necessary in any of these themes!)

Back to Basics

Whether we’ve been practicing for 40 years or for 10 minutes, there is always value in returning to the basics. In this session we will focus on our foundations, on our roots. We will explore our alignment, we will explore how we carry our weight in our bodies, and we will explore our connection between our mind, our body, and our soul.

I am READY for a change

In this transformational session we will shed the old (etherically and physically) and turn our focus towards the new.

Expect movement patterns that break up stuck gunk in our bodies, focus practices that help us keep our eye on the prize, and visualization techniques to bring in and embody the new.

Kid @ Heart

In this lighthearted and playful session we will relax the restrictions placed on us as “adults” and release our inner children to play. If you’re looking for a space where you don’t have to hold back, where no one’s going to tell you to “act like a lady” or to “man up”, where you can say, “whateva, I do what I want”, then this is the session for you. 

Yin is In

Yin (as in the opposite of yang) is the energy of surrender, the energy of darkness, and (very specifically), the energy of the shady side of the mountain. In a yin yoga session we hold poses for about 5 minutes each which allows our connective tissue to melt, releasing instinctual tensions. Etherically, the vibe is: “imma stay right here and allow the world to rearrange itself”.

Detox my Brainbox

When we’re stuck in an unwanted thought pattern or perspective, it can be difficult to think our way out of it. In this session we will use movement, breathwork, and guided meditation to reset our mental wiring.

I like to Move it Move it

“Yoga is boring.” “Sitting still is impossible.” “Meditation sounds great, but I’ve got too many things to do.”

If this is you, you are not alone. Come stir up and burn off some of that excess fire in this high intensity movement practice. That said, don’t let the words “high intensity” intimidate you. This is a personalized session and we’ll tailor the movement to whatever works for you!

I like Naps

Mmmmmm. Naps. <sleepy-eyed emoji>

Slow down in this restorative yoga session. We’ll use plenty of props and pillows to find a comfy zone where we can truly relax and let go. Come out feeling refreshed, rejuvenated and ready to tackle (calmly address) whatever life throws your way next.

After you book your session, we’ll reach out to inquire about which theme you are most interested in.

Pricing includes up to 4 people in your in-studio session and up to 2 people in your virtual session. If you’d like to add more, reach out and we’ll get it figured out.
